How it is worked out
- 1Your hourly rate is your annual salary divided by 52.143 weeks of 37.5 hours.
- 2Saturdays and weekday nights (8pm to 6am) earn one enhancement. Sundays and public holidays earn a higher one. The rates depend on your band.
- 3Overtime for bands 2 to 7 is paid at time and a half, or double time on public holidays.
Worth knowing
- Part-time staff are paid plain time for extra hours until they reach full-time hours.
- Bands 8a and above do not normally get paid overtime, though some employers make local arrangements.
